Our Office and SIMS support packages provide support for all of your Office ICT equipment, SIMS software and access to County systems. We offer three levels of support:

Bronze Support

This service provides a comprehensive functional support across the range of SIMS modules including unlimited support by telephone, email and remote access.

  • SchoolComms
  • Support for Internet, access to Oracle, Web Reports and intranet issues
  • Currently supported Microsoft operating systems and applications
  • Back-up software
  • Web filtering including Smoothwall (Managed County Internet only)
  • Support for anti-virus protection software
  • Egress installation, configuration and maintenance

Silver Support

The silver office support package includes all of the above and:

  • Remote SIMS Database upgrades, including Discover where appropriate for server and 2 workstations
  • End of Year Service
  • Half day consultancy, this can used for either technical or functional related issues

Gold Support

  • Remote SIMS Database upgrades, including Discover where appropriate for server and 2 workstations
  • End of Year Service
  • Half day consultancy, this can used for either technical or functional related issues
  • 3 days training at the training room, or 1 ½ days onsite training

 

Support for a school server (including hardware and software) is provided through the Classroom Service. If this service is not purchased the Cheshire Schools ICT Support Service, the responsibility lies with the school or associated 3rd party company. In this situation ICT Services is responsible for the SIMS application only.
